World AIDS Day

Mumbai District Aids Control Society had invited the Red Ribbon Club members of Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Management for a seminar cum prize distribution ceremony organized by MSACS (Maharashtra State Aids Control Society) at St. George Hospital, CST at 10 a.m. Around 200 students from various colleges across Mumbai and 100 other members of various NGOs across the state of Maharashtra attended the event.
The event started by lighting up the lamp by the esteem people on the panel followed by 3 street plays conducted by various organizations including St. George hospital. The event further had speeches by panel members, felicitation and also moment distribution to all the associations under the MSACS which had actively participated over the year in creating and implementing AIDS awareness, stigma discrimination, encouraging safety precautions for sex workers and their well-being. Dr. Rashid Merchant (Ex. Dean of Wadia Hospital) released his book for mother and child.
The event further had a presentation stating the level of AIDS and its treatment among women, adults, infants and children under the state of Maharashtra. The program ended by a vote of thanks by the MDACS unit.
