Tree Plantation Drive

The NSS Unit of USHA PRAVIN GANDHI College of management had organized a Tree Plantation Drive on 24thSeptember, to celebrate NSS Celebration Day to aware the citizens of the city. The employees of standard chartered bank also participated as the supplies were provided from their end.
The activity was held at Malad Forest Region. The volunteers assembled at 6:30 a.m. to mark the event. The activity was flagged off by planting a sapling by the N.S.S volunteer and more than 1500 saplings were planted that day by the volunteers as well as the employees. Few teachers from our college also adhered the event. Also a caretaker has been appointed to take care of these plants and a regular audit will be done by the NSS volunteers every 3 months which will determine the ratio of number of grown plants to the mortality rate. It will help us know the end-result of such an initiative.
The activity was very impactful as it left behind a sense of responsibility in all of us and made us realise how important it is to protect the natural gift given to us by god.
