Environmental Awareness Workshop

The NSS unit of Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Management had organized an environmental workshop on 23rd January, 2012 which was addressed by Mr. Benson George.The seminar started at 9.00 am. The volunteers were given a questionnaire at the beginning of the seminar. He discussed the basic components of environment such as living and non-living things, flora and fauna, biotic and abiotic etc. He explored the topic of various types of food chain which are dependent on each other. After lunch, there was on interactive session on digestive system, energy chain and warli tribe.
He also suggested activities for the NSS volunteers which could be carried out by them in the NSS camp. The seminar ended at 6.00pm. The seminar was very fruitful for all the NSS volunteers as they got aware and educated about the various environmental aspects.
