Cancer Awareness Rally
The N.S.S. unit of the Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Management participated in a cancer awareness rally in Shivaji Park on 13th October, 2012. N.S.S. volunteers from various colleges had gathered for the event. The event started with a street play organised by the Tata Memorial Hospital. The street play was presented in a dance form. It followed by a street play presented by the nurses of the Tata Memorial Hospital on the life of a cancer patient. Although the nurses were amateurs, they were professionally good while performing the street play. And through the street play they created awareness about cancer. Later the students followed the rally with placards and headed towards Matunga railhead and chanting slogans on their way. The event was successful in creating awareness among the masses.
